ALL DAY COMMERCIAL GRILLING: Use an unlit layer of Bamboo Logs under a large Grill Pit and top it with lit Red Gum Charcoal. The smokeless Bamboo coal adds hours to a long cook, and Red Gum Charcoal produces the smokey flavour.
Add small broken pieces in a Gravity Feed Smoker chute to double the cooking time for 1 load of coal.

See them in use by GREEK MASA Food Stand to create juicy tasty authentic Greek Meat Skewers.

HOW TO LIGHT THEM:

1) These dense logs are best started in a Charcoal Chimney with 3-4 Tumbleweed Firelighters for 20mins, place them all vertically so the fire goes up the holes and lights the charcoal from the inside.
Then tip into your BBQ, and place a few unlit Log pieces on top to add a few hrs to your cook. They create black smoke for the 1st 5 mins. Restrict air vents to slow down and control the BBQ temp.
2)
Do Minion method of tipping a Hot Chimney load of broken pieces into the middle of a large mound of unlit pieces.
3)
Place unlit Bamboo Logs on hot Lump Charcoal, or on a layer of our easy to light Hot African Zulu Charcoal.

For a long cook in an Offset Smoker:
Start whole Logs in a Charcoal Chimney and lay them down parallel in a cross hatch stack with the bottom 2 layers pre-lit in a Chimney, use unlit Logs for the above layers. Alternately, make a tall mound of Charcoal Chimney lit broken pieces, with unlit pieces on top for a long cook.

For Shallow Skewer cooking or in a wide Hibachi: Use 1 or 2 flat low layers of long Hot Logs with gaps in between, start Logs vertically in Charcoal Chimney for 20-30 mins so they are red hot, then lay flat in a wide Hibachi charcoal drawer.
or Break Logs into small pieces for small table top Hibachi BBQ’s and place a few Firelighters under a mound of charcoal pieces.

Bamboo Charcoal is made from cooking Bamboo wood in a Kiln without oxygen, then crushing the charcoal into powder and compressing it into 40cm long square logs.

– Fully sustainable as Bamboo quickly regrows after harvesting. The 6″ stumps left behind, quickly regenerate.
– Organic and contains no chemicals or additives.
– Burns hot and leaves minimal ash.
– Burns clean, with no smell or smoke once hot.
– Brings out the natural flavour of the food you are grilling.
– Takes a bit to light as the logs are densely compressed.
