The Big-M 18hr Cold Smoker Maze for short or long smokes

Use the THE BIG-M 18HR SMOKE GENERATOR MAZE with Fine Sawdust or Pellets for many hours of cold smoke. $40+gst 22.5 x 22cm Wide 5cm High.

The separate wire channels prevent the ‘fire jumps’ that happen with maze channels that share mesh walls, and several rows light at once. Filling 1 lane with Pellets goes for 2hrs for a short smoke, or fill whole Maze for a long smoke.

100% Hardwood or Charcoal Pellets work a lot better than sawdust in this Maze, if you want to use a little sawdust, sprinkle some over the Pellets to fill all gaps.

TIP:- Cold Smoke Tubes or a Maze, adapt their smoke output to the size of the smoker they are put in, the bigger the vessel, the larger amount of smoke is created as more air to burn.
In a BBQ or Pellet Smoker, the Maze creates small amount of steady smoldering smoke for 14hrs with Charcoal Pellets or 18hrs with Hickory hardwood Pellets, BUT in a large smoking vessel like our large double door shop fridge, a Tube or Maze creates a lot more smoke that goes up and out the top vent by itself without an air pump, and burns for a few hrs less.

Our CHARCOAL PELLETS WORK THE BEST as they are easier to light and create twice the smoke of wood Pellets and don’t go out, they go for 12hrs, and HICKORY Hardwood Pellets go for 18hrs. We also offer a Large 2kg bag of Charcoal Pellets.

Some Sawdusts and Pellets go out in a long consecutive Cold Smoke Burn, but we found that our Hardwood TENNESSEE RED OAK PELLETS, LUMBER JACK 100% HICKORY, and LUMBER JACK 100% OAK work well in this Maze. You may have to relight the Pellets after 5mins to give it a good start, then it should burn all the way to the end, and go for around 18hrs!

 Cold Smoking or adding smoke to a BBQ Smoker with Lumber Jack Pellets:-
– Overfill all Maze channels with Pellets. Lumber Jack are smaller than other Brands and work well in Mazes. A low pellet level in a Channel may cause the consecutive burning to stop, so pile them high.

– Start one end with a Blowtorch for 15 secs or so, let the Pellets stay on fire for a few minutes then put the lid down on your BBQ or blow the flame out to start the smoldering process.
